I don't wanna grow up.

This...

All began with a trip to Toys R Us.
*dream sequence begins*

Upon learning the news of the eminent closing of Toys R Us stores in the U.S. I, like many, immediately thought back to the feeling that came just from hearing the name, and the even greater feeling I got from the trip there and being inside.

It truly was everything the jingle said. The biggest toy store there is.

Naturally I couldn't miss a chance to visit one last time could I?

So, there I was in a place I hardly knew anymore and just like that, as I stared down the isles that were just as long as I remembered, it all came back.

My first thought was 'Where are the turtles?!' but all the good stuff had been taken so I turned my attention to the Funco Pop section.

So many stood out from WWE to Star Wars, I think I saw Firefly, and (the reason you're here) of course Street Fighter.

For backstory:
I have a special relationship with SF going back to my days learning to play from SF1 in the arcade by the beach on 116th in Rockaway Beach, NY. I went on to participate in sanctioned SFII tournaments (No 1st place wins) in Southern California, and was a avid player all the way through the heights of Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

All this, and I had no idea Toys R Us had an exclusive SF series of POP.
Into the basket they went but that got me thinking. Aside from setting them up at home, or bringing them to the office for daily inspiration on my journey (gotta keep training right?), what else could I do with these?

You're looking at the answer.

So many elements went into this but the number one was imagination.
The kind of imagination that a place like Toys R Us put no limitations on.

Thanks for one last memory.
You will be missed old friend.
